Medication Quality Improvement Analysis and Impact on Population Quality of Life
Abstract
Advance care planning entails trained facilitators’ decision to lead the patients through various questions to determine and predict their beliefs and preferences, as well as personal goals for care; especially if the patients, after some time, are unable to speak for themselves or approach the end-of-life. In the ICU unit, there is a need for quality improvement in this area because the process enables the medical power of attorney and the patients to understand preferred decisions in different situations.
